A fresh start after a bad experience with a web design company.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Tulip Therapy is a massage therapy studio in Evansville, Indiana. When we met them, they had a Wix site that had produced exactly one online appointment sale, built by a company they no longer trusted.
We rebuilt from scratch, and today they rank #1 for “Evansville massage.” You can see the finished product at tuliptherapymassage.com.
The Challenge
Tulip Therapy came to Accuracy SEO for help with their existing Wix site. It was in very poor condition, and they’d had a total of one appointment sale online since it had been live. Furthermore, they didn’t trust the company they had bought the site from and were afraid they were being scammed. The company needed their bank info to process transactions, but they didn’t trust the company enough to hand it over! I advised them on the process and told them they would need to give the bank info to receive their payments. I also told them that the company (who had said SEO was included) hadn’t really done any SEO on the site, which was true.
They took a long time thinking it over. The situation was complicated when they learned that the company was holding the site hostage: if they ceased monthly payments, the company would remove all of Tulip Therapy’s access to the site.
After mulling over the situation for multiple weeks, Tulip Therapy finally decided to cut ties with their web design company and start fresh with a new site. I assured them that when they worked with Accuracy SEO for web design, they would have full control over the site even if they ceased services.
The Solution
Everything in Their Name
We registered the domain, hosting, and WordPress install in Tulip Therapy's name. It's the same promise we make to every web design client: if you ever stop working with us, the site stays yours.
WordPress with Gutenberg
We rebuilt on WordPress using Gutenberg, a lightweight setup with none of the drawbacks of a website builder like Wix. No monthly ransom, no platform lock-in, no missing SEO tools.
Text-Heavy by Design
Every service got its own page of keyword-targeted copy, from lymphatic massage to deep tissue. Tulip Therapy wasn't sure about all that text at first. The rankings would soon change their minds!
New Branding
We made one more important change to the site. All their marketing materials, the website, and the domain name used the name “Tulip Therapy 777.” We convinced them to rebrand as “Tulip Therapy Massage.”
From kickoff to launch, the entire build took a little over 6 weeks.

The Results
Tulip Therapy was surprised at how much text was on the site and was unsure how they felt at first. However, new appointments soon started coming through the site, and they began to change their minds.
