
Case Study: Tulip Therapy
Brand New Site to #1 Ranking in 7 Months
I’ve been working with Tulip Therapy for about seven months. When I met the owners, they told me that they had almost zero business in their massage therapy spa. They had a simple Wix site that they had paid a shady contractor to build for them. Since the Wix site had been built, they had a total of “one” appointment come in online.
I told Tulip Therapy that I could do SEO on their Wix site, but they decided with no pressure from me that they would rather start over from scratch with a brand-new website. They signed up for my web development service and I built them the site you can see now at: https://tuliptherapymassage.com/.
Seven Months Later, Tulip Therapy is Ranked #1 for “Massage Evansville” and #2 for “Evansville Massage” (EDIT: One month later, Tulip Therapy is ranked #1 for both terms.)

I told Tulip Therapy when we began that it would be a long and slow road to success. Looking at the competition, there were at least 21 other massage providers between Highway 41 and I-69. We would have to outrank almost every one of them to start seeing meaningful visitor growth.

We started by finding a low competition keyword that we could use to break into the space and start getting reviews. We settled on “Lymphatic Massage” and soon were top ranked for that term. That won us our first customers and the reviews started coming.
Over time, we added and optimized for increasingly difficult keywords. Eventually we were ranked #1 for “Deep Tissue Massage,” a major source of site traffic and business income.
Finally, after about seven months of SEO, at the time of writing Tulip Therapy is ranked #1 for “Massage Evansville” and #2 for “Evansville Massage,” beating out nearly every other massage provider in the area. Since many of those businesses have been in operation for over a decade, what we were able to achieve in about half a year is pretty impressive!
SEO Takes Time, but It Can Have a Massive Impact on Your Business

SEO wasn’t the only thing we did for Tulip Therapy. We also transitioned from one online booking provider to another (a daunting task), helped with Google Ads, and pitched in on other efforts related to making a better online business. But when you take the wide view, its easy to see that Tulip Therapy’s visitor numbers have been steadily growing since day one.
In the graph above, we’ve isolated Monthly Organic Sessions (visitors coming to the site by clicking a result in Google or other search engines) so you can see what that their growth looks like without ads, direct traffic, or referrals. If you viewed Total Sessions to Tulip Therapy from all sources, the numbers would be even larger.

When viewing Daily Clicks and Impressions via Google Search Console, we can see the same trend through another data source. There is steady growth in Impressions (how many people see Tulip Therapy listed in Google results) and Clicks (how many people click on those Google results) over time. It’s a pleasure to see the recent spike that occurred when Tulip Therapy achieved its #1 rank for “Massage Evansville!”
Visitors, conversions, and business income haven’t stopped growing since we began work on the site, and I believe that they will continue to grow as long as Tulip Therapy maintains their contract with Accuracy SEO.
Every business is different, but every one of our clients has seen steady growth over time.
Due to the highly saturated “massage” landscape in Evansville, I was unsure of how much time it would take to deliver meaningful results for Tulip Therapy. Happily, I was able to overdeliver on my early promises of slow but steady growth.
Today, there is only massage business in Evansville who you could say is more successful than Tulip Therapy in terms of SEO. With time, I hope to see my client overtake them as well.
